PAST EVENT - is BIM a value add? roundtable

Those who work closely with Building Information Modeling are well aware of the many benefits it offers the AECOO industry. But like any other disruptive innovation, it comes with a its own set of setbacks and challenges, especially when facing a subject as diverse and complex as the built environment. Even though we are aware of the hurdles, fees and contractual relations between client, contractor and consultant have largely remained unchanged. This then begs the question, who is responsible for taking on the challenges BIM presents and how does this relate to the beneficiaries of its success?

Join us for a virtual roundtable discussion that poses the question, “is BIM a value add”? The event will take place on Zoom and we’ll use break-out rooms to create smaller discussion groups. An effort will be made to put together attendees from various industries to encourage cross-disciplinary dialogue. We will then reconvene and a volunteer from each group will be asked to present the core thoughts considered. A tBIMc moderator will be present in each room.

Event Plan:

  • 12:00 - 12:15pm event introduction

  • 12:15 - 12:40pm break-out room discussions

  • 12:40 - 1:00pm* group discussion

*The session will be open past 1:00pm so the conversation can continue if desired.

All attendees must register in advance as space is limited. Please make sure to specify what industry you are a part of when signing up.
