Akira Jones
Akira is the current chair of tBIMc and Director, Digital Services and a Mechanical Engineer at HH Angus, with over a decade of experience in the AEC industry. He leads HH Angus’ digital services team, which specializes in BIM processes and software, 3D scanning and Scan-to-BIM, as well as IoT, Digital Twinning, and AWS Cloud Consulting Services. In his spare time, Akira enjoys ultimate frisbee, cycling and getting lost in the woods while back country camping.
Arash Shahi
Arash Shahi is the co-founder and CEO of AECO Innovation Lab, a research-driven digital transformation partner in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, and real estate Industries as well as in adjacent government agencies. Arash is a leading BIM-researcher in Canada, an adjunct assistant professor at University of Waterloo with over 50 peer-reviewed research publications, and a board member of buildingSMART Canada.
As an entrepreneur and an innovator, Arash is driven to advance the BIM adoption in Canada and is working with provincial and federal partners to develop and commercialize several initiatives, including open data exchange standards, BIM-based automated code compliance checking, and most recently a BIM-submission platform for Canadian municipalities.
Ken Roxas
Ken is an Associate and the CAD and BIM Section Lead at HDR Canada. Ken is passionate about driving efficiency, championing training and development, and upholding the highest standards of quality in every project. With a commitment to innovation, I lead a dynamic team in Canada to deliver precision and excellence through cutting-edge Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) solutions.
Marina Ramos
Marina is the BIM & Scheduling Dept. Manager at Clark Construction, with 10+ years of construction experience, she has been involved in projects ranging from small to large in different areas, including commercial, retail, pharmaceutical, industrial, and high-rise.
Mojgan Jadidi
Dr. Mojgan Jadidi is an Associate Professor at the Civil Engineering, Lassonde School of Engineering, York University. Mojgan interest includes Geospatial Visual Analytics in 2D and 3D spaces, Building Information Model (BIM) and 3D GIS Integration, Spatial Quantum Computing for the applications of Smart Environmental/Building/Cities and Intelligent Transportation. As founder of GeoVA Lab, she passionately drives the research in engineering education using virtual and augmented reality and gamification technologies and learning analytics intersecting with UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Daniel Garnier
Daniel is the Digital Practice Lead at MJMA. His passion for technology and architecture has driven him to seek collaboration with organizations invested in improving the GTAH’s built environment and adoption of technology.
